PROMOTION OF THE NEW ALBUM RELEASE BY DRAGOMIR MILENKOVIĆ – YOGA
Dragomir Milenković is a composer, an independent artist and publicist. He was born in a Dalmatian town Trogir, Croatia, in 1954. Dragomir Milenković has been living in Belgrade since 1994 and works on a new Balkan and Serbian music project. He is a member of the Composers’ Association of Serbia, World Music Association of Serbia and SOKOJ. His works have been published on ten cd-s, moreover, he has written music for the theatre, documentaries (“Pejzaži urbane revolucije” eng. Urban Revolution Landscape) and TV shows. As the leader of a group named “Hazari”, founded in 1991 in Niš, he has performed on numerous international festivals, both in the county and abroad, concerts, as well as collaborated with the French Cultural Centre in Belgrade and Cluj (Romania), the Iranian Cultural Centre in Belgrade, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, cultural institutions in Serbia, Nišville Jazz Festival, TV Al Jazeera, and International Red Cross.He also works as a journalist.
His texts of musical and philosophical context have been published in Belgrade magazines “Svetlica” and “Pop kulture”, the magazine “Nur” of the Iranian Cultural Centre and the magazine “World Music Association of Serbia”. He has collaborated with numerous artists such as Oliver Dragojević, Zdenka Kovačiček, Kornelije Bata Kovač, Maja Odžaklijevska, Beti Đorđević, Boba Stefanović, Ljubiša Stojanović Luis, Bebi Dol, Nada Pavlović, Sanja Ilić, a harpsichordist Smiljka Isaković, duo Želčevski, Esma Redžepova, Vaska Ilijeva, and groups such as Frenki, EYOT, Misterija Karpatika. Dragomir Milenković was the first president of the state branch trade union of musicians of the Niš region, and a member of the Coordination Committee of Artists of Belgrade since 2005.
